The Cross and the Torah 5: Major Inconsistencies: The Civil Law

What is the Civil Law? Within the Law of Moses, there are rules about how to handle when someone violates a law. These may be as simple as cleanliness rituals or as severe as execution.

How do those in the Hebrew Roots movement, which says we should keep all the laws we can, carry out these commands? In the latest episode of The Cross and the Torah, I show how this issue, ignored by many in the movement, completely undermines everything Torah observers believe about keeping the whole law today. There’s no way out. This is a major inconsistency that is unavoidable for them.
